Having a large amount of spare time now until October when I start my second year of university I intended to get stuck in with 3D work and learn the software inside and out to have a good head start when I went back.Whilst not being as motivated as I had hoped I have had time to look into a few things and brainstorm some possible future projects for when the time is right.
Ghost Town Plugin For 3Ds Max 2012 Software Inside AndIn particular I was interested in looking into plugins and extras for 3Ds Max that would help me produce things in a much more efficient manner, for instance, procedural generation addons. With a few button clicks you are able to produce a very nice city block complete with high poly facades and textures. All inbuilt into the program there is also a lot of room for editing where you can add your own textures as well as completely edit the generated model, as with any other in Max. ![]() It is currently a work and progress with it being updated regularly and shows a great amount of promise. The latest test video shown by the creator displays the amount of flexibility and detail achievable from small amounts of fine-tuning along with the future inclusion of road generation. Ghost Town Plugin For 3Ds Max 2012 Download Ghosttown 0You can download Ghosttown 0.317 Lite Beta here to try out for yourself. Otherwise you may be better off using something like Unity to do it for free (assuming you dont mind their logo on your work). That means if you buy something we get a small commission at no extra cost to you( learn more ). But what really makes it a powerhouse is its ability to use Maxscripts to make simple macros to speed up your workflow. It even has a built-in feature to make a low poly version that is already UV unwrapped with baked in maps that you can then use in a game engine. It is also good for changing material IDs so you can vary the materials used. But its always worth it for the way it brings out the final model in the end. Now you get the realism of adding them to your scene in only a fraction of the time. It is a large collection of quick select buttons that are usually hidden away in multiple menus in 3ds Max. You can quickly flatten all the UVs in your scene with this tool which saves a step when you go into your UV window to clean your UVs. I recommend you check out the main page and have a look for yourself. You can get it for free but if you like the look of it you can make a donation to the developers. This is something thats harder or simply not possible to achieve in the default render engine of 3DS Max. It removes noise faster by only focussing computing power on the sections of the image where noise is prevalent. Its compatible with both the V-Ray and Corona render engines. From there you can drag your materials from the Sigershaders window into your scene. ![]() ![]() Corona can now use Phoenix FD which was only supported with V-ray. The advantage Corona has is its price point: at only 290 a year compared to V-Rays 380. Ghost Town Plugin For 3Ds Max 2012 Skin A CharacterIt has an InstantSkin option which allows you to skin a character to the rig in seconds with good results. You can always go in and clean up any parts that arent behaving as they should. Its the easiest way to fill a scene with good looking buildings to make your centrepiece stand out. It comes with 12 default brushes with the option to add your own so the possibilities are endless. It was first released in 2017 and is currently developed by Mozilla. Or if you just want to play around with the WebGL framework a bit.
